A Feeling of Freedom.

Heya, we went to the mall earlier. Ops, lemme start from the top.

Okay, Mom scheduled a check-up with my doctor (the one I met when I had dengue) today. I had my uncle bringing me to where she works. Then we went straight to the clinic.

The checkup was fine. Same stuff: Eat well, bed rest, don't make yourself feel too tired, take vitamins and all that. It was kinda boring, since all I had to do was follow the doctor and stare at the bulletin board full of baby pictures. Probably her kid.

So, we got out and Mom said we'd head for Robinson's. Yay, we'd go to a mall! She wanted to buy a pair of new Havaianas for us, some stuff, and early birthday gifts for the kids. (My sisters' birthdays are celebrated during November.)

We went to Rustan's and found the Havaianas mini store. There was a bunch of slippers, from size 35 and above, facing apart the Crocs slippers. Mom chose two Havaianas High (or heels) for me, and I both tried them on. They were 99.9% the same, and the only difference was the design. The white one had flowers while the purple one had butterflies. I wanted to buy the white one, but Mom said there were tons of others.

And in the end, I bought non-flats, instead they were labeled as Havaianas Flash. They were green (my fave color!), with yellow flowers and green details. So kawaii! (In Japanese, it means cute.) My mom got the same too, only blue.

We ate in KFC afterwards. Mom said there were no original recipes, so I just forced myself to take the Hot and Spicy. Argh. As you know, spicy things bug me.

I took about 29 or 30 bites, then I gave up. "Ma, ang anghang. Ayoko na! Sa 'yo na lang 'to." Eventually, my mom ate again, and she said for me to make "ulam-ulam" (LOL, I'm not super duper good in Tagalog.) the fun shots. Okay, at least they're not spicy. For dessert, I ate mashed potato and drank my Sprite. Hmmm. Still hungry. But I didn't mind.

Next, Mom told me about my sis' birthday gifts. They said, they wanted sunglasses, so it shall be granted. Since they're just kids, they want those with the Princess designs. Okay, since they're little girls.

While waiting, Mom allowed me to wander around, but I made sure I wasn't lost. I went to this magazine section and looked for the latest ish of Candy. (Many apologies, but I don't collect TG anymore.) And thank God, I found it. But bad news, Zac Efron was on the cover. Man, I hate him! But good news: Mom allowed be to buy the mag.

Then we bought the glasses and cased them inside tin cans. The clerks gift-wrapped them, and I asked my mom if we could visit the CD store, cause I had to look for the latest The Click Five and Avril Lavigne CDs. Okay, but we had to visit the Havaianas rack again. Hayyyy...

Okay, after that Havaianas madness, we went to AstroVision and I kept searching for The Best Damn Thing and Modern Minds and Pastimes and never seemed to stop. I found MMaP first, then I saw it costed P400. Wow, I still had to wait when my allowance would come. Then after 2 minutes, I saw TBDT. P375. Again, I had to earn a lot. Plus I saw this black jacket with purple designs... So cute talaga! It was P250. Great. I'll cut off my after-school spending already. Palibre na lang. Haha.

Then I told my mom I was tired, and so was she. We went home through jeepney (There weren't much taxis in sight.) and I almost slept. Grr.

I turned kinda emo and boy crazy during the long jeep ride. There was this kinda cute guy kasi eh. He looked like he was 13. Too bad he was at the end, I couldn't see him that much. Arghz. And for the emo part, I heard Wake Me Up When September Ends by Greenday. Awtz.

We got home and surprised the kids. They were happy. Good.

Yun muna.

Byezz!

XOXO, Veronica
